Large Pastures
Valley View Farm features large pastures of rich green, gently rolling land with excellent horse soils. The fields are tested twice yearly to assure proper nutrients and then weeded, seeded or treated, as necessary, to maintain their excellent condition. There are ten large pastures to encourage healthy growth and exercise of horses in compatible groupings, while numerous smaller paddocks accommodate individual colts, newborn foals and their dams, outdoor lay-ups and horses with special needs.

Well-Ventilated Barns
Currently the farm has thirty horse-friendly stalls in three well-ventilated barns, plus a number of specially constructed semi-outdoor stalls. These open stalls are favorites with horses who do not like the confines of a traditional barn, yet need to be kept confined. Here, they can see other horses in the field and enjoy the open air while recuperating. Hay and straw are stored in a separate large building, thereby reducing dust and promoting a cleaner air environment.

Free Movement Exerciser
Our European free-movement exerciser is used for the optimal training of young horses, to prepare them for sales and help them grow into the athletes they were destined to be. All horses are hand-led on and off the exerciser, one at a time. They are gently introduced to the apparatus, and only walk through the program until they are ready to proceed at a faster rate. Horses are grouped on the exerciser according to their temperament, experience and ability. Each horse is treated as an individual and never asked to do more than they are ready to accept. Horses are never left alone in the exerciser; an experienced manager or groom stands by the control box and watches over their charges at all times.
